Christopher J. Melick has been a Research Associate since 2009 for the Cooperative Institute for Mesoscale Meteorological Studies, located at the NOAA Storm Prediction Center in Norman. He obtained a B.S. and an M.S. in Atmospheric Science from Purdue and a PhD in Atmospheric Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia. His career interests lie mainly in research of severe storms and other high impact weather events as well as software development and application of meteorological techniques. Chris is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, National Weather Association, and American Meteorological Society.
Nabeel is originally from Pakistan and moved to Oklahoma during high school. He then went on to complete his undergraduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. From there, he returned to Oklahoma to start his own design company, NubzDesign, offering graphic design, web design, and print services to his clients. In his spare time, Nabeel loves meeting and getting to know new people.
Kendall Werts is a chemical engineer at a consulting firm in Norman where she models fires, explosions, and risk for petrochemical facilitates around the world. She grew up in Tulsa and got her undergraduate degree in Boston at MIT. From there, she moved on to receive a masters degree from OU in Chemical Engineering. Kendall is a board member of a local social group called Nerdy Girls and is involved in the Young Professionals Committee and the Loss Prevention Symposium for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Global Congress on Process Safety. Her favorite thing about AEP is learning about everything that OKC has to offer.
Andrew Godwin works at BKD, LLP as a Senior Audit Associate at BKD, LLP, a CPA and Advisory firm. Andrew graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2012 with a Master’s in the Science of Accounting. He has previously worked at Grant Thornton and as a teaching assistant at Oklahoma State University. Andrew is a member of both the Oklahoma State Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of CPA’s.
Hayley Moore is the Director of Marketing for Phase 2, a software and application development company. Hayley graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She worked in the not-for-profit sector for three years and currently volunteers with NewView Oklahoma, the YWCA, the Cavett Kids Foundation, and the Arts Council of Oklahoma City. Hayley is a member of Loyal Class IX, Impact Oklahoma, the Lion’s Club, and the Junior League of Oklahoma City.
